What is "See Sally Fly"

- Thank you for visiting seesallyfly.blogspot.com. Back in 2004 I began taking flight lessons in a Cessna 152 and in 2005 I received my Private Pilot License. Currently, I'm training for my Instrument Rating in a 172. And last, I'll train towards receiving a Commercial and Flight Instructor Rating so I can teach others to fly! This blog serves as a way to not only share my experiences with my family and friends and a way to keep personal records, but also, it's a way to share with "Pilot wannabe's" (and hopefully someday my students) my flying experiences. I hope everyone finds my posts amusing, interesting and informative. I post new material regularly, so visit often.

Instrument Rating Requirements: Pilot Log
An applicant for an Instrument Rating must have a minimum number of hours in various types of flight time before taking the exam. Here's what's logged as of 6/01/08:
50 hrs cross-country as PIC (10 hrs must be in airplanes)
63.2 hrs 40 hrs actual or simulated instrument:
68.4 hrs : 43.5 (simulated); 19.7 (FRASCA); 5.2(actual) 15 hrs instrument flight training from authorized instructor in aircraft category for which instrument rating is sought:
42.8hr (hood); 76.5 hr (flight time) 3 hrs instrument training appropriate to instrument rating sought from authorized instructor, in prep for practical, w/in 60 days prior to date of test:
